Churchill Rugs and Carpets has been in business for over 70 years. The first Churchill carpet store began as stall in Newark in the early 1900s. By 1950, the family business had expanded to at least three locations in Northern New Jersey, including the Montclair store that was opened in 1948. Then in 1994, after 30 years with Churchill, Mark and Jileen Friedman became the owners and operators of the Montclair store.

As a full-service carpet and flooring store, Churchill Rugs and Carpets offers carpets and a full line of flooring products, including vinyl flooring and laminate flooring.

What makes Churchill Rugs and Carpets unique is the family atmosphere you experience when you walk through their door. The friendly sales staff, all tenured an average of 20 years with Churchill, greets you by name, having often served customers for generations. The professional installation staff has also been a part of the Churchill experience for more than 15 years .
